Chandigarh, December 27, 2016
BJP national spokesperson and former Union Minister Shah Nawaz Hussain today said that development is visible in each and every corner of Punjab and no one can stop the Akali-BJP coalition from forming a government again in the state. Addressing a huge congregation during the Punjab BJP Alpsankhyak Morcha Sammelan in Mukerian, Hussain made an appeal for a thumping victory of the Akali-BJP coalition so that the wave of development in Punjab continues under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Hussain said, “People of Punjab should stop thinking about other parties because Akali-BJP combine is the only option they have. Like the dreams of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been washed away across the nation, Capt. Amarinder’s dream of coming into power again won’t be realized. Kejriwal has wiped away the expectations of the Delhi people with his broom and Punjab’s voters won’t fall into his trap”.
Shah Nawaz Hussain reiterated that the BJP had equal respect for every religion and community in the country. He said that it was evident from the fact that the party had appointed people from different faiths to top posts. He said that the BJP’s minority front conference was symbolic of communal harmony and brotherhood with people from all religions participating in it. Hussain also praised PM Modi for bringing in demonitisation stating that this would usher in a new era of transparency and honesty. Lambasting the Congress and other opposition parties, Hussain said that those involved in huge scams should not preach honesty. Specially mentioning the Aadampur Airport, he said that Union Minister Vijay Sampla did his very best to facilitate the people of Doaba region.
Meanwhile, addressing the Morcha Sammelan, Punjab BJP president and Union Minister, Vijay Sampla said, “The only party which can safeguard the interests of the minorities is the BJP. I thank the minority community for showing faith in the BJP”. Speaking on the issue of demonitisation, Sampla said, “This brave decision might have created some initial problems but still the nation is rallying behind PM Modi. This step was necessary for the bright future of the country”.
Punjab BJP Alpsankhyak Morcha president Abdul Qayyum Raza, former minister Arunesh Shakar, MLA Sukhjit Kaur Shahi, state Morcha vice-president Umesh Shakar, state Morcha secretary Jeevan Gupta, Vidhansabha in-charge Arun Sharma, district president Sanjeev Minhas, Samson Masih and Riyaz Masih were present on the occasion.
