Narendra Modi preserved the existence of women: Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti
Congress governments responsible for pathetic condition of farmers: Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti
Like Chandigarh, BJP-Akali coalition will register a historic victory in Punjab too: Vijay Sampla
Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti today stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is only leader who has preserved the existence of women. Addressing a huge congregation of the party cadres during the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha Sammelan in Pathankot Sadhvi Jyoti said since Independence no government took steps to ensure safety and well-being of women while the PM Modi-led Centre government initiated schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to save the girl child and hence the very existence of women. “PM Modi has done what the previous Congress governments have failed to do. He has ensured the safety of women. He has ensured that when a girl child grows up she is able to stand on her own feet and preserved the existence of women”, she said.
Lauding the developmental works carried out by the BJP-Akali coalition in the state, Sadhvi Jyoti appealed to the people to give another chance to the combine for a prosperous Punjab. Sadhvi also lambasted the Congress saying, “Rahul Gandhi is today sympathizing with the farmers, but he should know that only his party is responsible for the pathetic condition of our farmers. On the other hand the PM Modi government allotted the biggest budger ever for the farming sector and ensured their survival”. Sadhvi Jyoti also said that the Congress was agitated due to demonitisation because it was the most affected.
Meanwhile, Punjab BJP president, Vijay Sampla said that by voting for the BJP in the Chandigarh MC elections, the people have vindicated the stand of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed confidence that the BJP will achieve a similar feat in Punjab too. Addressing the Mahila Morcha workers Sampla also listed out the achievements of the Akali-BJP coalition government in the state and the NDA government at the Centre. He said that the BJP was the only party which brought 33 per cent women to the political mainstream.
Pathankot MLA and former state party president Ashwini Sharma too spoke on the occasion and termed the women wing as the soul of the party.
The conference was attended by BJP Mahila Morcha president Vijaya Rahatkar, vice-president Latika Sharma, state president Mona Jaiswal, Vidha Sabha Dy. Speaker Dinesh Babbu and BJP state organizational secretary Dinesh Kumar among others.
