Exhorts party cadres to ensure a thumping victory of the Akali-BJP coalition for a record third time
Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra accorded a grand welcome in Ludhiana
Led by Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla, the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra of the state unit today continued its journey from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Memorial in Ludhiana after paying tributes to the Father of the Indian Constitution. Along with Vijay Sampla, leaders aboard the Rath were welcomed by thousands of party workers and supporters by showering flowers as the cavalcade of motorists marched ahead raising slogans. Passing through New Sabzi Mandi, Ghantaghar Chowk, Girijaghar Chowk, Gud Mandi Chowk, Ghas Mandi Chowk, Teen Number Division Chowk, Salamian School Road, Christian Medical College, Issa Nagri Puli and Field Ganj Jail Road the Rath reached Ludhiana (Central) constituency.
Addressing public gatherings at different places during the course of the Yatra, Vijay Sampla said that the bugle for Punjab polls had been sounded and the BJP was absolutely ready for the polls. Exhorting enthusiastic party cadres, Sampla said that they maintain their energy and vigor so that they repeat the thumping victory of the Akali-BJP coalition for a record third time. Sampla said that the motive of the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra was to ensure that party workers and leaders make a firm resolve to bring the coalition back into power. He made an appeal that the voters cast their ballot bearing in mind the developmental works carried out by the NDA government at the Centre and the Akali-BJP coalition in the state.
Coming down heavily on PPCC chief Capt. Amarinder Singh, Sampla said, “Capt. Amarinder Singh has no concerns for the people of Punjab and he has been conspicuous by his absence for the last one month. He has no time for the people of the state but he does have ample time to meet his friends across the border”.
Sampla also lambasted AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal stating that his party leaders had hurt the religious sentiments of Punjabis, indulged in corruption and sexually exploited women. Such forces which don’t have any respect or worries for Punjabis, should be kept out of Punjab, he said.
